APRIL: A SERIES OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS & THE LIFE
After many moons, I have eventually found the time to sit down with peace of mind to compile this blog post. I won’t lie it has really been a struggle me for me to get my life in order, both work wise and personally. As demanding as they are of me I’m truly grateful for all my challenges as I love to be challenged in a creative capacity and I adore what I do especially all the people in my circle of life that makes things so much more fulfilling.
With that said I do feel I owe you an explanation for my absence and life update, as well as future objectives. There’s also a few of my favourite things I have collected and received recently and things I have admired for the longest time id love to share.
So first things first, I recently turned 26 and if that’s not already something to write a few paragraphs on, what I’m about to tell you sure will. One the day of my birthday Worrick asked me to marry him and I said yes, obviously. ‘it is about time’ is the phrase I have heard ever since. We have been together for 12 years, so I suppose it’s fitting.
I won’t go into my cheesy love story right now, but I will say I’ve only just gotten used to the whole Fiancé bit and the stress of wedding planning slowly seeping in. Me and Worrick have both decided that focusing on buying our own property will, however, be our next move before a wedding so as far as wedding dates go we just booking the year 2020! Let’s just put it into the universe.
At the beginning of this year, I had the pleasure of attending so many special events weddings birthday’s etc., so I’ve compiled a few of my favourite things beauty and accessories.
I’m a real sucker for accessories especially earrings. These gold vintage Givenchy earrings are an old set I’ve admired from my aunt’s notorious accessories stash when I was very little, and I finally got to wear them, only to find out how extremely heavy they are but totally worth it.
i have also been gifted for my BIRTHDAY these beautiful poetry EARRINGS from a dear friend and i really adore them. i will be missing my bestie as she flys off to south Korea for a year.
This look-alike Dior, is a vintage mini bag in genuine leather with gold eyelets and charm details, is yet another family vintage piece I have always been obsessed with. It’s so beautifully made and trust me I see a lot of handbag designs and samples daily, but this lady is just timeless.
For as long as I can remember my obsession with lipstick started when I was 5 years old and I had to play an angel for a concert and my mom put this really bright red lipstick on me, the lipstick came out of a gold case. From then I was hooked!!! #lipstickjunkie. These Chanel Lipsticks are my personal favourites because of the colour I love a dark lip now and then and these two are the perfect shades and finish also very durable. I will be sharing more of my favourite lippies in future posts and where to shop them. You can also shop them online from the images below the post.
I was never really crazy about mascara, I have long dark lashes, so it wasn’t essential for every day until recently that all changed, for over a year now I cannot live without it. I’ve just recently started using this smash box full exposure mascara and I'm loving it. although I need the waterproof one.
So because I have pale people problems and I need a decent bronzer like the M.A.C bronzing powder in colour Bronze which has been so good to me, I just repurchased this one but I dropped it. So, I’m a bit broken up about it.
Thankfully I have so much exciting things I want to do, Since I have started the blog platform I have received such great feedback and the last 3 months have been intense in laying the foundation for further growth. With the winter months ahead of us here in cape town I cannot wait to share all my favorite winter trends with you and where to shop them.
